Running

I enjoy running to help keep as fit as I can and to destress from whatever that may be!

I’ve completed a number of half marathons and two of the global marathons classified as ‘Majors’, Berlin and London. In Berlin I was able to compete at a level I was happy with whereas London was just a case of getting round as best as I could - both are fulfilling for different reasons and completing London helped me finally achieve that aim of a little boy watching the race of TV back in the day.

As with most things the London experience was tougher but maybe slightly more rewarding in some ways to know that I have mental reliance even when things are getting tough! (hello mile 15).

My target is to complete all six of the major marathons eventually but finding time to train is increasingly tough to do!

At the moment I’m just enjoying trying to get fitness back up after a period of time when I wasn’t able to run due to various reasons. Going out a doing a few miles on my own or with a mate is my current target but I am hoping to get back to a higher fitness level one day to get somewhere closer to the time when myself and my twin brother achieved a North Brothers 1-2 in the local Catford parkrun! (Unfortunately he did beat me but that was to be expected…!).
